
Bhubaneswar: Train services in the Rayagada Division of East Coast Railway have been disrupted following a landslide between Maligura and Chhatariput stations. As a safety measure and to facilitate restoration work, several trains have been cancelled, while some services will be short-terminated or short-originated.
The 18108 Jagdalpur–Rourkela Express will remain cancelled from October 4 to 8, while the 18107 Rourkela–Jagdalpur Express will be cancelled from October 3 to 7.
The 18515 Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Express and 18516 Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Express will also remain cancelled from October 4 to 7.
Several other trains will operate only up to or from Koraput, with services on the Koraput–Jagdalpur section affected.
The 18005 Howrah–Jagdalpur Express, which started from Howrah between October 2 and 7, will be short-terminated at Koraput. Its service between Koraput and Jagdalpur will remain cancelled. The corresponding 18006 Jagdalpur–Howrah Express, scheduled to start from Jagdalpur between October 4 and 9, will instead originate from Koraput, with the Jagdalpur–Koraput section cancelled.
The 18447 Bhubaneswar–Jagdalpur Hirakhand Express, scheduled to start from Bhubaneswar between October 3 and 7, will be short-terminated at Koraput. The 18448 Jagdalpur–Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express, scheduled to depart from Jagdalpur between October 4 and 8, will originate from Koraput. Services between Koraput and Jagdalpur will remain cancelled for both trains.
Similarly, the 58501 Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Express, scheduled to start from Visakhapatnam between October 4 and 7, will be short-terminated at Koraput. The 58502 Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Passenger Express, scheduled to start from Kirandul during the same period, will originate from Koraput. The affected section between Koraput and Jagdalpur will remain cancelled.
Passengers have been advised to check the status of their respective trains before starting their journey and plan their travel accordingly.
