Labour Ministry Partners with FoundIt to Boost Job Opportunities for Indian Youth

New Delhi: In a major push towards employment generation, the Ministry of Labour & Employment (MoLE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FoundIt (formerly Monster), a leading job portal, to enhance both domestic and international job opportunities for young job seekers in India. The MoU was signed in the presence of Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, marking a key milestone in the government’s efforts to connect skilled workers with employers across various sectors.

Dr. Mandaviya emphasized the transformative role of the National Career Service (NCS) Portal, which has become a crucial gateway for job seekers. He highlighted that the NCS portal facilitates over 3,000 to 4,000 new job postings daily, and with this partnership, it is expected to bring 1.25 lakh international vacancies and over 10 lakh domestic vacancies annually.

“The NCS Portal has already mobilized over 4.40 crore job openings since its inception, with nearly 10 lakh vacancies available at any given time. With 40 lakh registered employers, it is ensuring a steady flow of opportunities for India’s youth,” Dr. Mandaviya stated.

The NCS Portal has also expanded its global reach by integrating with the e-Migrate platform, onboarding over 500 active Recruitment Agencies (RAs) registered with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). This move ensures that Indian professionals can secure overseas jobs with credible, verified employers in countries such as Germany, Finland, and various Middle Eastern nations.

MoLE Secretary Sumita Dawra underscored the high demand for skilled Indian workers abroad, particularly in both blue-collar and white-collar jobs. She noted that the MoU with FoundIt would help facilitate these job placements and enhance career prospects for Indian job seekers.

The partnership between MoLE and FoundIt will provide job seekers with seamless access to employment opportunities across India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. FoundIt will integrate job listings into the NCS Portal using an API-based technology interface, ensuring smooth access to vacancies in both formal and informal sectors.

The collaboration will also focus on inclusive hiring, with special provisions for women and persons with disabilities, making job opportunities accessible to all sections of society.

V. Suresh, CEO of FoundIt, hailed the partnership as a significant step towards economic growth and inclusive employment. He stated that it aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, fostering equal opportunities for all.

“Employment is a key driver of economic progress, and this MoU will help bridge the gap between employers and skilled job seekers by leveraging technology and government-backed platforms like the NCS Portal,” he said.

With this partnership, the Ministry of Labour & Employment continues to strengthen its commitment to youth employment, ensuring that India’s workforce is equipped with the right skills and opportunities to succeed in the global job market.
