
Bhubaneswar: The three-day Krushi Odisha 2025, a flagship event showcasing innovation and growth in agriculture and horticulture, concluded with a grand Valedictory Ceremony at the Biju Patnaik Playground in Bhubaneswar. Organized by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment (DA&FE), Government of Odisha, the event marked significant milestones, including the signing of a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the felicitation of farmers and stakeholders.
The valedictory session began with the arrival of dignitaries and a warm welcome speech by the Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services. Dr. Arabinda Padhee, Principal Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, delivered an address emphasizing the need for science-driven practices to make agriculture more resilient and sustainable.
Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo highlighted Odisha’s vision to transform agriculture into a model for innovation and sustainability, positioning the state as a leader in this sector. He stressed the importance of strategic planning and business-oriented approaches in achieving long-term agricultural growth.

Competitions, including quizzes, debates, storytelling, and skits, added a cultural and intellectual dimension to the proceedings, fostering community engagement.
One of the highlights was an experience-sharing session by Sudarshan Mohanty from Keonjhar, whose success story inspired the audience and underscored the resilience of Odisha’s farming community.
The Deputy Chief Minister for Agriculture, Farmers Empowerment, and Energy concluded the event with an address highlighting the transformative potential of initiatives like Krushi Odisha in building a sustainable and prosperous agricultural future.
