
Mumbai: Shefali Jariwala, the actress and dancer who shot to fame with the iconic early-2000s music video Kaanta Laga, has tragically passed away at the age of 42. She reportedly suffered a sudden cardiac arrest on Friday night and was rushed to a hospital in Mumbai, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
A hospital official confirmed the news, stating, “Shefali had expired before she was brought in. Her husband and a few others accompanied the body.”
Jariwala rose to stardom with Kaanta Laga, which became a cultural sensation and made her a household name. Over the years, she appeared in various reality shows including Bigg Boss 13 and Nach Baliye, and remained a popular figure in Indian pop culture.
