
New Delhi: Jitan Ram Manjhi, former Chief Minister of Bihar, officially took charge as the Union Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) today. Alongside him, Shobha Karandlaje also assumed her role as Minister of State in the Ministry of MSMEs. Karandlaje has previously served as the Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Minister of State for Food Processing Industries in the Government of India.
In his address, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for entrusting him with this significant role. “I am honored to be part of the vision 2047 and the journey towards Atmanirbhar Bharat, with MSMEs as a focal point,” said Manjhi.
Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje emphasized the importance of making MSMEs self-reliant and increasing their contribution to the GDP. “Our efforts will be directed towards empowering MSMEs and ensuring their growth and sustainability,” she stated.
