Jagjeevan Ram Railway Protection Force Academy Receives Prestigious ‘Excellent’ Rating for Civil Service Training

Lucknow: The Jagjeevan Ram Railway Protection Force (RPF) Academy in Lucknow has achieved a significant milestone by receiving the prestigious “Excellent/अति उत्कृष्ट” rating from the Capacity Building Commission (CBC). This recognition highlights the Academy’s outstanding adherence to the National Standards for Civil Service Training Institutions (NSCSTI), underscoring its commitment to excellence in civil service training.

The accreditation certificates were formally presented by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, during the Civil Service Training Institutions Convention held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on August 12, 2024.

Director General of the Railway Protection Force, Shri Manoj Yadava, congratulated the Director of JR RPF Academy and his team on this remarkable achievement. He noted that the accreditation is a testament to the relentless dedication and exemplary efforts of the Academy’s staff. “This unique recognition underscores our deep commitment to elevating the standards of civil service training,” Yadava said. He also emphasized that this accreditation not only reflects the Academy’s ongoing evolution but also places it among the top six apex training institutions in the country.

The NSCSTI framework, introduced on July 18, 2022, as part of the Union Government’s initiative to enhance the quality of Civil Service Training Institutions, is the world’s first national-level standard for civil service training. It aims to raise the standards across training institutions in India, ensuring high-quality training for civil servants.

The JR RPF Academy’s accreditation followed a comprehensive evaluation based on eight key pillars: Course Design, Faculty Development, Training Targets, Training Support, Digitalisation & Training Delivery, Collaboration, Training Evaluation, and Operations & Governance. The Academy successfully navigated this rigorous assessment, demonstrating its commitment to maintaining high standards and continuous improvement.

The evaluation process involved several stages, including desktop assessments and on-site evaluations by a team from CBC and the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET). Out of approximately 149 training institutions assessed, the JR RPF Academy’s exceptional performance led to its recognition as one of the top six institutions in India to receive this esteemed rating.
