
New Delhi: Jagat Prakash Nadda took charge as the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare today, marking the commencement of his tenure in this crucial portfolio. The occasion witnessed the presence of Prataprao Jadhav and Anupriya Patel, Ministers of State for Health and Family Welfare.
Nadda’s political journey began in 1975, and he quickly rose through the ranks within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Notably, during the Lok Sabha Polls in 1989, he was entrusted with the significant responsibility of being the election in-charge of the BJP’s youth wing. Subsequently, he contested Assembly elections in his home state of Himachal Pradesh and emerged victorious three times. His dedication and leadership were further acknowledged when he served as a Cabinet Minister in Himachal Pradesh. Moreover, Nadda has played crucial roles within the BJP, serving as the National General Secretary and Member Secretary of the BJP Parliamentary Board. From November 2014 to May 2019, he held the esteemed position of Union Health Minister, demonstrating his deep commitment to public health and welfare.
