Irfan Pathan Shares Rare Photo of Wife Sans Niqab, Fans Express Mixed Reactions

Mumbai: Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan surprised fans by sharing a rare photo with his wife, Safa Baig, where her face is uncovered. The couple, married for over eight years, is known for keeping their private life low-key, making this face reveal unexpected.

Irfan Pathan took to social media, posting a selfie with Safa Baig along with a heartfelt note describing her as his bestie, mood booster, parent, and faithful companion. The post marked the couple’s eighth wedding anniversary. However, the face reveal garnered mixed reactions.

While many Indian followers celebrated the sweet gesture and wished the couple more years of happiness, some Pakistani fans expressed disappointment that Safa appeared in public without a veil. The reactions highlighted the cultural diversity and varying perspectives on personal choices.

Irfan Pathan and Safa Baig got married in a low-key nikah ceremony at Mecca on February 4, 2016, followed by a grand reception in Vadodara, Gujarat. Safa Baig, a former model from a wealthy family based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, had been known for wearing a niqab before this public appearance without it.
