IPL Auction: 1214 cricketers Register for the player auction

Mumbai: A total of 1,214 cricketers, which includes 896 Indian and 318 from overseas have registered for the upcoming IPL players’ auction.

The two-day mega auction will be held in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13, where the  franchises of 10 teams including the two new franchises based in Lucknow and Ahmedabad will bid to form their teams for the 15th edition of the most popular T20 league.

The players list incorporates 270 capped, 903 uncapped and 41 Associate players.

Australia have registered 59 players for the auction, followed by South Africa (48), West Indies (41), Sri Lanka (36), England (30), New Zealand (29) and Afghanistan (20). A few players from Nepal, USA, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Ireland, Oman, Scotland, UAE, Netherlands have also registered for the auction.
