India’s PV Sindhu Exits All-England Badminton Championship After Defeat to An Se Young

Birmingham: India’s badminton sensation, P.V. Sindhu, faced disappointment as she bowed out of the All-England Badminton Championship after a tough defeat against top seed An Se Young of South Korea in the women’s singles Round of 16 match on Thursday.

In a gripping encounter that lasted 42 minutes, Sindhu struggled to find her rhythm against the formidable Korean opponent. Despite showing glimpses of her trademark resilience, Sindhu ultimately succumbed to An Se Young with a scoreline of 19-21, 11-21.

The match witnessed a closely contested first game, with Sindhu initially taking a lead before An Se Young staged a comeback. Despite Sindhu’s valiant efforts to narrow the gap, the Korean’s consistent performance allowed her to clinch the first game with a score of 21-19.
