
Bengaluru: India’s first Covid-19 self test kit CoviSelf has been commercially launched by Biotechnology company Mylab Discovery Solutions on Thursday.
Designed as a nasal swab test, the kit detects the virus in 15 minutes and costs Rs 250. It will be available in chemist shops across the country in two-three days. It will also be available on e-commerce marketplace Flipkart. The Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) has granted approval for the CoviSelf kit on May 19.
The company will roll out one million self-test kits and based on the consumer demand, they will make 10 million units available per week.
