
New Delhi: Indian Railways celebrated the outstanding contributions of its employees and officers at the 69th Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar 2024, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The prestigious awards, recognizing exemplary service and dedication, were presented by Union Minister of Railways, Information and Broadcasting, Electronics and IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw. The ceremony was attended by Minister of State for Railways & Jal Shakti, V. Somanna, Minister of State for Railways & Food Processing Industries, Ravneet Singh, and key officials, including Chairman & CEO of the Railway Board, Satish Kumar.
This year, 101 exceptional railway personnel were honored for their commitment to excellence under the theme ‘Mai Hoon Bhartiya Rail’ (I Am Indian Railways), which celebrated the spirit and resilience of the Indian Railways workforce. Among the individual awardees were N Haripriya, Chief Commercial Inspector; Pradeep Kumar Jha, Protocol Officer; and Suprabhat Mitra, Technical Grade-II, from East Coast Railway, whose contributions stood out as benchmarks of dedication and service.
The event also recognized institutional excellence, with 22 Shields awarded to the best-performing Railway Zones and Production Units across various operational and service categories. East Coast Railway emerged as a joint winner of the prestigious Electrical Engineering Shield, underscoring its innovative and efficient approach in this critical domain.
Speaking at the event, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw lauded the recipients for their relentless efforts in enhancing the efficiency, safety, and passenger experience of Indian Railways. He emphasized the importance of acknowledging such contributions as a motivation for others to strive for excellence.
