Puri: The Indian Navy is gearing up for a spectacular mock drill off the coast of Puri in preparation for the upcoming Navy Day celebrations on December 4. The event is set to be a grand display of naval warfare and power, showcasing the strength and capabilities of the Indian Navy.

In anticipation of the celebrations, five warships, including the formidable INS Jalashwa, INS Kiltan, and INS Sumedha, have anchored along the Puri coast, stretching from Digabarini to the Light House. These warships have already begun patrolling the area, offering the public and tourists a glimpse of the Navy’s operational might.

Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, accompanied by senior naval officers, visited Puri today to assess the beach conditions and hold discussions with the district administration. The Navy plans to conduct a series of drill operations on Puri Beach, which will feature air shows, commando operations, and other daring military manoeuvres, offering a thrilling spectacle for onlookers.

Admiral Tripathi, along with his family, also paid a visit to the revered Shree Mandir, where they offered prayers. His visit highlights the Navy’s connection with the local culture and the significance of Puri as a historic and spiritual destination.
