Antwerp: In their second match of the European leg of the FIH Hockey Pro League 2023/24, the Indian Men’s Hockey Team suffered a 1-4 defeat against Belgium. After halftime, India came out aggressively, but Belgium’s defense held firm. The third quarter saw Belgium doubling their lead through Alexander Hendrickx (34’) from a penalty corner, further extending their advantage in the match.

In the final quarter, India pressed forward in search of goals, but Belgium’s defense remained resolute. Cedric Charlier (49’) added another goal for Belgium before Abhishek (55’) pulled one back for India. However, a penalty stroke converted by Alexander Hendrickx (60’) sealed the win for Belgium, with the match concluding 4-1 in their favor.
