New Delhi: Amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, the Indian Embassy in Tehran has taken proactive measures to ensure the safety and assistance of Indian citizens residing in the region. In response to the recent developments, the embassy has issued additional helpline numbers for Indian nationals requiring assistance or support.

In a statement released on Sunday, the Indian Mission provided the following helpline numbers for individuals seeking assistance: +989128109115, +989128109109, +98993179567, +989932179359, and +98-21-88755103-5. Additionally, individuals can also reach out via email at cons.tehran@mea.gov.in.

The move comes in the wake of heightened conflict between Iran and Israel, characterized by an unprecedented attack launched by Iran and its proxies on Israel. The attack involved the deployment of 330 missiles and drones in retaliation to an alleged Israeli strike on a diplomatic installation in Damascus, resulting in casualties, including prominent commanders.
