Indian Embassy in Beirut Issues Travel Advisory Amid Rising Tensions

Beirut: The Indian Embassy in Beirut has issued a travel advisory for Indian nationals in response to heightened tensions in the region. The advisory follows Israel’s recent warning to the Lebanon-based Hezbollah group, raising concerns about a potential escalation of conflict.

The Embassy urged Indian citizens currently in Lebanon, as well as those planning to travel to the country, to exercise caution. In the advisory, the Embassy emphasized the importance of staying informed about the situation and maintaining regular contact with Embassy officials.

“Indian nationals are advised to remain vigilant and stay in touch with the Indian Embassy in Beirut,” the advisory stated. The Embassy provided contact information for Indian citizens needing assistance, including an email address (cons.beirut@mea.gov.in) and an emergency phone number (+96176860128).

The advisory comes amid concerns over the potential for increased hostilities in the region, following warnings from Israeli officials. The Embassy’s notice serves as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of Indian nationals in Lebanon.

Indian citizens in the region are encouraged to monitor local news and follow the instructions of local authorities. The Embassy assured that it is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as necessary.

For more information and updates, Indian nationals are urged to regularly check the Embassy’s official channels and stay informed about any changes in the security situation.
