
New Delhi: Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane is at the helm of the Indian delegation attending the Annual Meeting of Defence Ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Member States in Astana, Kazakhstan. The two-day event, scheduled from April 25 to April 26, 2024, is poised to delve into critical regional security matters and bolster defence cooperation initiatives within the SCO framework.
As a prominent representative of India, Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane will articulate the country’s stance and perspectives on pertinent issues during the ministerial meeting.
Key on the agenda are discussions aimed at reviewing the prevailing regional security landscape and exploring avenues for bolstering defence cooperation among SCO member states.
In addition to delivering the official India statement at the ministerial meeting, Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane will engage in bilateral consultations with Defence Ministers from SCO member states.
