
Gujarat: The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) successfully intercepted an Indian fishing boat in the Arabian Sea, seizing 173 kg of narcotics and apprehending two perpetrators on board.
The operation, carried out with precision and coordination, was initiated based on specific and credible intelligence provided by ATS Gujarat. Utilizing their assets strategically, the ICG ensured comprehensive surveillance to intercept the suspected boat. Subsequent investigations upon intercepting the vessel confirmed the accuracy of the intelligence inputs, implicating the fishing boat and its two perpetrators in drug smuggling. Further inquiries are underway to determine the extent of the crew’s involvement in the illicit activity.
