New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to take part in Exercise INIOCHOS-25, a prestigious multinational air combat exercise hosted by the Hellenic Air Force. The exercise will be held at Andravida Air Base, Greece, from March 31 to April 11, 2025.
The IAF contingent for the exercise will include Su-30 MKI fighter jets, along with IL-78 air-to-air refuellers and C-17 Globemaster transport aircraft. These assets will enable the IAF to operate seamlessly in joint missions, enhancing interoperability and tactical coordination with air forces from across the world.
INIOCHOS is a biennial multinational air exercise that brings together air forces from 15 countries, integrating multiple air and surface assets under realistic combat scenarios. The exercise aims to simulate modern-day air warfare challenges, providing participants with an opportunity to hone their combat skills, exchange tactical knowledge, and enhance military cooperation.
The IAF sees INIOCHOS-25 as a crucial platform for strengthening international partnerships. The exercise will help participating air forces train in planning and executing combined air operations, refine air combat tactics, and gain insights into operational best practices.
