
New Delhi: In a significant development, the Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to host its inaugural mega multinational air force exercise in Jodhpur later this year. The exercise, still in the planning phase, will witness participation from key nations including the US, Germany, Australia, France, and Italy. The comprehensive list of participating countries is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
Sources from the defence and security establishment indicated that the exercise aims to enhance interoperability between the Indian Air Force and its partner nations. The involvement of various countries underscores the growing collaborative efforts in addressing shared security challenges.
Regarding the participation of India, a diverse array of fighter jets, transport aircraft, and helicopters is expected to be showcased during the exercise. The Indian Air Force’s fleet, including Su-30 MKI, Rafale, LCA Tejas, Mirage 2000, and MiG-29, will actively contribute to the joint training, emphasizing the nation’s commitment to fostering cooperation and coordination in the realm of air defence.
