The world’s first plasmid DNA vaccine, ZyCoV-D is produced by Ahmedabad-based vaccine manufacturer Zydus Cadila. The vaccine uses a genetically engineered, non-replicating version of a type of DNA molecule known as a ‘plasmid.

Three doses will be given at intervals of 28 days and 56 days from the first dose respectively.
