India Showcases Tourism at IFTM Top Resa 2024 in Paris

Paris: The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is proudly participating in the prestigious tourism trade fair, IFTM Top Resa 2024, held in Paris, France, from September 17th to 19th. As one of the leading global travel exhibitions, IFTM Top Resa provides a crucial platform for India to strengthen its international tourism presence and attract more visitors.

The Incredible India Pavilion was inaugurated by Jawed Ashraf, Ambassador of India to France, in the presence of officials from the Ministry of Tourism, the state tourism departments of Meghalaya and Jammu & Kashmir, and prominent travel trade stakeholders.

The Pavilion is a vibrant display of India’s rich cultural heritage, modern travel opportunities, and diverse tourism products. It showcases the nation’s unique blend of history, art, and adventure, attracting significant interest from global participants. A special feature of the pavilion is the promotion of India’s Yoga Practices, which is drawing considerable attention from visitors keen to experience the country’s wellness tourism.

India’s participation at IFTM Top Resa underscores its strategic goal of expanding its presence in key international markets, especially in Europe, to boost inbound tourism. France, in particular, plays an important role in India’s tourism landscape. In 2023, India welcomed 9.24 million foreign tourists, with 0.18 million visitors from France, making it the 11th largest source market for foreign tourist arrivals.

The trade fair brings together a diverse range of participants from across the travel and hospitality industry, including travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, hoteliers, cruise lines, and travel technology providers, offering a dynamic space for networking and collaboration.
