India Showcases its Tourism Potential at PATA Travel Mart 2024 in Bangkok

Bangkok: In a bid to boost inbound tourism and strengthen its global presence, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, participated in the prestigious PATA Travel Mart 2024, held in Bangkok from August 27 to 29. The “Incredible India” Pavilion was inaugurated by Nagesh Singh, Ambassador of India to Thailand, alongside officials from the Ministry of Tourism.

The PATA Travel Mart is one of the most influential travel exhibitions in the Asian subcontinent, bringing together key players from the global travel industry. India’s delegation, consisting of Ministry officials and prominent private sector stakeholders, showcased the nation’s vast tourism offerings. The event provided a platform for fruitful business engagements with international travel stakeholders, reinforcing India’s strategic goal to increase foreign tourist arrivals.

In 2023, India welcomed 9.24 million foreign tourists, and with events like PATA 2024, the country aims to further elevate its status as a premier travel destination. The India Pavilion highlighted the best of India—from its vibrant cultural heritage and historic landmarks to its modern experiences and natural beauty.
