India-Saudi Arabia Joint Military Exercise ‘SADA TANSEEQ’ Kicks Off in Rajasthan

Mahajan:  In a landmark event promoting military collaboration and strengthening bilateral ties, the inaugural edition of the India-Saudi Arabia Joint Military Exercise, ‘SADA TANSEEQ,’ commenced today at Mahajan, Rajasthan. The exercise is scheduled to be conducted from January 29th to February 10th, 2024.

The Saudi Arabian contingent, consisting of 45 personnel, is proudly represented by the Royal Saudi Land Forces. Simultaneously, the Indian Army contingent, also comprising 45 personnel, is represented by a Battalion from the Brigade of the Guards (Mechanised Infantry).

The primary objective of ‘SADA TANSEEQ’ is to provide comprehensive training to troops from both nations for Joint Operations in semi-desert terrain, following Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter. The exercise aims to facilitate the sharing of best practices in tactics, techniques, and procedures for conducting operations in the sub-conventional domain, thereby enhancing interoperability and fostering camaraderie between the troops.

Key elements of the exercise include the establishment of a Mobile Vehicle Check Post, Cordon & Search Operation, House Intervention Drill, Reflex Shooting, Slithering, and Sniper Firing. These activities are designed to enhance the capabilities of both contingents and provide practical insights into operating in challenging terrains.

‘SADA TANSEEQ’ is expected to be a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, contributing to achieving shared security objectives. The exercise will play a crucial role in elevating the level of defense cooperation between India and Saudi Arabia, reinforcing the spirit of cooperation and mutual understanding.

The joint military exercise comes as a testament to the strong and friendly relations between the two nations and emphasizes their commitment to collaborative efforts in the field of defense and security.

The concluding ceremony of ‘SADA TANSEEQ’ on February 10th is anticipated to showcase the successful achievements and enhanced cooperation between the Indian and Saudi Arabian contingents.
