India Post Charts Ambitious Growth Path at Annual Business Meet 2025–26 in New Delhi

New Delhi: The Department of Posts held its Annual Business Meet 2025–26 in the national capital under the leadership of Union Minister for Communications and DoNER, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, setting the stage for a transformative year focused on innovation, efficiency, and inclusive service delivery. The meeting brought together Heads of Postal Circles from across the country, reinforcing India Post’s evolving role as a premium logistics, financial, and citizen-centric service provider.

The event began with an inaugural address by Vandita Kaul, Secretary (Posts), who reflected on the Department’s achievements over the past year while outlining strategic priorities for the road ahead. She underscored the importance of innovation, digital transformation, and inclusivity in driving India Post’s next phase of evolution into a modern, performance-driven public service institution.

A key highlight of the meet was the launch of “Dak Samvaad,” a monthly e-newsletter designed to improve internal communication and foster a culture of knowledge sharing across India Post’s vast network. Launched by Minister Scindia and Secretary Kaul, the newsletter will feature field success stories, innovative practices, and business insights, offering a glimpse into the resilience and dedication of postal workers who continue to serve as a vital bridge between the state and the citizen.

Throughout the day, Circle Heads presented detailed reports on business performance, regional innovations, operational challenges, and their strategic plans to scale up logistics, banking, e-commerce, and public service delivery. Their presentations reflected the grassroots dynamism and adaptability that continue to define India Post’s presence in every corner of the country.

Addressing the gathering, Jyotiraditya Scindia praised the energy and dedication of the postal workforce, noting that India Post remains an essential backbone of the nation’s connectivity, especially in rural and remote areas. “India Post isn’t just a service but a lifeline. I am proud to witness the commitment, ideas, and innovation flowing from every corner of the country,” he said.

The Minister emphasized the Department’s transition toward a corporate-style performance model, promoting professionalism, accountability, and innovation. He encouraged all Circles to adopt a service-oriented culture while remaining grounded in India Post’s public service ethos.

In a strong push toward operational excellence, Scindia set a growth target of 20–30% for FY 2025–26, tailored to the strengths and market potential of each Circle. This ambitious target aligns with the government’s broader vision of transforming India Post into a sustainable profit center without compromising its social commitment to last-mile service delivery.

The meet also included discussions on infrastructure modernization, digital enablement, simplification of procedures, and capacity-building, all of which are vital to enhancing India Post’s competitiveness and service standards in the evolving landscape of logistics and digital banking.

As the meeting concluded, participants reaffirmed their collective commitment to boost business growth, embrace digital transformation, and reinforce India Post’s role as a future-ready, citizen-first organization. The 2025–26 business cycle promises to be one of strategic transformation, backed by a clear vision, strong leadership, and the tireless spirit of the postal community.
