New Delhi: In a decisive response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Armed Forces have launched a precision military operation titled ‘Operation Sindoor’, targeting terrorist infrastructure located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
According to official sources, a total of nine terrorist sites were struck in a focused, measured, and non-escalatory operation. The targets were carefully selected to avoid any Pakistani military facilities, underscoring India’s intent to hold perpetrators accountable while avoiding provocation.
“This operation has been calibrated. It is not escalatory. It is rooted in our commitment to ensure accountability for the heinous attack in Pahalgam,” a senior official stated. The Pahalgam attack, which claimed the lives of 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national, had sparked widespread national outrage and calls for firm action.
Sources emphasized that India exercised considerable restraint in both the choice of targets and the mode of execution, aiming solely at terror launch pads and infrastructure that had been used to direct attacks on Indian soil.
