India International Science Festival (IISF) 2023 Concludes with Remarkable Achievements

Faridabad: The India International Science Festival (IISF) 2023, a grand celebration of science and innovation, marked its Day 4 with distinguished guests and groundbreaking announcements. The event, spanning from January 17 to 20, 2024, witnessed the participation of Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister of Haryana, who graced the occasion with his insightful address.

Shri Khattar highlighted the boundless benefits of science for society and announced the Haryana government’s ambitious plan to develop a state-of-the-art Science City in Faridabad. Encompassing 50 acres, this initiative aims to create a dedicated space for scientific exploration, learning, and engagement, especially targeting the youth. The Science City is envisioned as a dynamic center fostering scientific awareness and inspiring the next generation of scientists.

Emphasizing the importance of nurturing a scientific temperament, Shri Khattar stressed the role of public engagement platforms like IISF in demystifying complex concepts and showcasing the transformative power of science. The Chief Minister’s announcement reflects a commitment to integrating science with society and encouraging innovation and research.

The closing ceremony of IISF 2023 saw the presence of Dr. Abhay Karandikar (Secretary, DST), Shri Shivkumar Sharma (National Organizing Secretary, Vijnana Bharati), Dr. Arvind C Ranade (Chief Coordinator, IISF 2023), and Dr. PS Goel (Chairman, National Innovation Foundation).

The valedictory session acknowledged winners of the Student Innovation Festival-Space Hackathon 2023 and celebrated outstanding pavilions, emphasizing excellence in conceptualization, technology, and interactivity.

The success of IISF 2023 reflects the enthusiasm for science and innovation in India and the commitment to fostering a culture of curiosity and discovery. The event served as a platform for scientific exchanges, learning, and collaboration, leaving a lasting impact on the scientific community and the general public.
