ICC Invites Bids for Official Social Media Partner for 2024-2027 Cycle

Dubai:  The International Cricket Council (ICC) is set to open the bidding process for its Official Social Media Partner from 2024 until 2027. The move comes on the heels of the unprecedented success of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 on Meta platforms, where fans generated a staggering 16.3 billion video views during the event, with 9.7 billion on Facebook and 6.6 billion on Instagram.

The ICC’s official Invitation To Tender (ITT) for the Official Social Media Partner will mark the commencement of the next cycle, coinciding with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in the West Indies and the USA in June.

Geoff Allardice, the Chief Executive of the ICC, expressed excitement about the upcoming tender, stating, “We are excited to be releasing the ITT for the ICC’s Official Social Media Partner as we continue to build the sport’s portfolio of digital and broadcast partners.” He emphasized the impressive digital growth of the ICC, highlighted by the colossal video views during the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

The ITT comprises three distinct packages, encompassing up to 13 ICC events spanning until the conclusion of 2027. These events will include tournaments for men, women, as well as U19 categories.

Geoff Allardice added, “These numbers highlight the appetite for innovative and engaging ICC event content globally, and we look forward to building on this success further in the next cycle.”

Interested parties keen on submitting bids for the coveted role as the ICC’s Official Social Media Partner can access the tender documents by emailing iccmediarights2024-2031@icc-cricket.com. The release of the ITT signals the ICC’s commitment to expanding its digital presence and ensuring a dynamic and captivating experience for cricket enthusiasts worldwide.

As cricket continues to capture the hearts of millions across the globe, the ICC seeks a partner to join its digital journey and contribute to the ever-growing digital landscape of one of the world’s most beloved sports. The bidding process is expected to attract global media entities looking to align themselves with the pinnacle of international cricket.
