IAS Sujata R Karthikeyan Takes Six-Month Leave for Child Care

Bhubaneswar: Sujata R. Karthikeyan, the Special Secretary of the Finance Department, has been granted a six-month leave to care for her minor daughter who is preparing for her Class X exams. The leave commenced on May 31, 2024, as per a notification issued by the General Administration (GA) department.

The notification, citing Rule 18-D of the All India Services (Leave) Rules, 1955, stated, “Sujata R. Karthikeyan, IAS, (RR-2000), Special Secretary to Government, Finance Department, is granted Child Care Leave for a period of 6 months, i.e., 180 days, w.e.f 31.05.2024 to 26.11.2024 to take care of her minor daughter appearing for her 10th exam.”
