
Bhubaneswar: A group comprising 6 IAS Officer Trainees from the 2022 batch and 8 from the 2023 batch of the Odisha Cadre, presently undergoing training at the Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, met with Development Commissioner-cum-ACS, Smt. Anu Garg, IAS, at Loka Seva Bhawan on Saturday.
During the meeting, the officer trainees received comprehensive briefings on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the intricacies of the National Multidimensional Poverty Index. They were also acquainted with various initiatives led by the administration to implement the Agenda 2030, in addition to learning about the schemes and programs under the Planning & Convergence Department.
Highlighting the importance of citizen-centric governance, DC-cum-ACS stressed the significance of upholding principles such as inclusivity, equity, and ensuring that no one is left behind while carrying out administrative duties in different capacities.
Earlier in the day, the officer trainees participated in a visioning exercise organized by the Office of the Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Water Resources Department, at Rajiv Bhawan.
The interactive sessions aimed to equip the officer trainees with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the state’s developmental goals and enhance their understanding of key areas such as sustainable development and poverty eradication.
