
Bhubaneswar: Noted Odia poet Hrushikesh Mallik will get the Sahitya Akademi Award 2021 in Odia for his book ‘Sarijaithiba Apera’.
The Akademi announced the award for different languages for the year 2021 on Thursday.
Recipient of several awards, Hrushikesh was conferred with Sarala Award in 2016 for his poetry ‘Jeje Dekhi Nathiba Bharat’. He has written several books which includes 14 poetry collections, 2 story books and 10 literary criticism.
Digaraj Brahma will receive Sahitya Akademi Bal Sahitya Purskar 2021 (Odia) for his book ‘Geeta Kahe Matir Katha’, while Debabrata Das will be conferred with Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2021 (Odia) for his book ‘Sparsha O Anya Galpa’
