New Delhi: Hockey India has announced the launch of the inaugural Hockey India Masters Cup, a groundbreaking tournament featuring both men’s and women’s categories. This pioneering event is set to highlight veteran players over the age of 40, offering them a unique platform to showcase their enduring passion and skill for the sport.
The Hockey India Masters Cup is designed to celebrate seasoned hockey players, bringing together former athletes to reconnect with the sport they love and compete at a high level. This tournament aims to honor their lifelong dedication to hockey, providing an opportunity for veterans to maintain fitness and enjoy the camaraderie of their peers.
All Hockey India affiliated State Member Units are eligible to participate in this historic event. Veteran players interested in participating will need to contact their respective member units and register through the Hockey India Member Unit Portal. Dates and venues for the tournament will be announced soon.
Speaking on the inaugural edition of the Masters Cup, Hockey India President Dr. Dilip Tirkey said, “We are thrilled to announce the first-ever Hockey India Masters Cup, an event that honors the dedication and passion of our veteran players.
