Government Launches ANUBHAV Awards Scheme 2024 to Encourage Retirees’ Experiences

New Delhi: In line with the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DOPPW) introduced the ‘Anubhav Portal’ in March 2015, an online platform enabling retiring or retired Central Government employees to share their experiences while serving the government. This initiative aims to establish a culture of leaving notes by retirees, serving as the cornerstone of future good governance and administrative reforms.

The Government has now officially announced the ANUBHAV Awards Scheme 2024. Retiring Central Government employees and pensioners are encouraged to submit their Anubhav write-ups, starting eight months prior to retirement and up to one year after retirement. Subsequently, the write-ups will undergo assessment by respective Ministries/Departments, and the selected ones will be published. The published write-ups will be eligible for ANUBHAV Awards and Jury Certificates. The deadline for submission under the ANUBHAV Awards Scheme 2024 is March 31, 2024. Notably, 54 ANUBHAV awards have been conferred from 2016 to 2023.

As per the scheme guidelines, all Anubhav write-ups published on the Anubhav Portal between July 31, 2023, and March 31, 2024, will be considered for five Anubhav Awards and ten Jury Certificates.

To ensure broad participation in the ANUBHAV Awards Scheme 2024, the DOPPW has initiated an Outreach Campaign, engaging with Nodal Officers of Ministries/Departments and CAPF’s. Ministries/Departments are actively involved in encouraging pensioners to submit their ANUBHAV experiences. Knowledge-sharing sessions have also been organized to guide nominees on the documentation format for award-winning nominations.

The ANUBHAV Awardees will have the opportunity to share their experiences in a national forum through the ANUBHAV Awardees Speak Webinar Series. This initiative seeks to celebrate and showcase the rich experiences and insights of retirees who have contributed significantly to the government sector.
