
Bhubaneswar: Eminent producer-director Ghanashyam Mohapatra will be conferred with the prestigious Jayadev Award for 2019 for his lifelong achievement and contribution to the Odia film industry.
He will be felicitated with a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh and certificate of honour.
State Culture Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi on Friday also announced the 31st State Film Awards.
Renowned filmmaker Nila Madhab Panda will be conferred with the Mohan Sundar Dev Goswami Award for his film ‘Kalira Atita’. The film has been selected as the best film for 2019,while Panda has been adjudged the best director for the same film.
Saroja Parida and Kabya Kiran will receive the best actor and actress award respectively for the film ‘Khushi’. Similarly, Bobby Mishra and Anjana Dash have been adjudged Best Supporting Actor and Actress for films ‘Babu Bhaijan’ and ‘Bapa Tume Bhari Dusta’ respectively, Aishwarya Mishra has been adjudged the Best Child Artist for ‘Khusi’. Tribhuban Panda has been selected as the Best Comedian for the film ‘Golmal Love’.
Baidyanath Das has been adjudged as the Best Music Director (Balakrushna Samman) for the film ‘Nayaka Ra Na Devdas’ while Arun Mantry will receive the Best Lyrics award for ‘Bhijei Dei Jaa Thare’ from the film ‘Bapa Tume Bhari Dusta’.
