
Balasore: Gangster Sheikh Hyder succumbed to bullet injuries sustained during a police encounter near Simulia in Balasore district on Saturday.
He was critically injured and was undergoing treatment at Balasore district headquarters hospital (DHH).
Informing about his death, Additional District Medical Officer (ADMO) Mrutyunjay Mishra of Balasore DHH said that the gangster died before the doctors could start the treatment procedure. The postmortem will be conducted on Sunday and the body would be handed over to his family members in Kendrapada town.
