
Bhubaneswar: Continuing the unlock procedure, the Odisha government on Saturday announced that all shops across the state will open till 8 pm while the night curfew will continue. However, in the 10 districts the night curfew will start from 8 pm to 6 am. The 10 districts are Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak and Mayurbhanj.
As the COVID case load is still high in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri, the weekend shutdown will continue in these cities.
As per a new decision, the government has allowed the opening of malls, cinema halls, operas, jatra and open-air theatre with half the seating capacity. Similarly, restaurants, bars and dhabas will resume their business with 50 percent seating capacity.
However, only fully vaccinated people will be allowed to enter malls and restaurants in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri.
All sea beaches, parks will also remain open, however wearing masks, maintaining social distance and use of hand sanitiser is mandatory.
Museums, tourist places, zoos and archaeological monuments are allowed to open following COVID protocols.
However, all educational institutions, including coaching, will function in accordance with the guidelines issued by respective departments.
