The Gaurs will now face Mumbai City FC in a two-legged semi-final clash, while Chennaiyin FC bid farewell to the competition following this result.

FC Goa’s journey to the semi-finals has been marked by their potent attacking prowess, evidenced by their tally of 39 goals in 22 league matches. In tonight’s crucial encounter, the Gaurs displayed their attacking flair once again, with goals from Noah Sadaoui and Brandon Fernandes securing the win.

The opening goal, scored by Noah Sadaoui in the 36th minute, showcased FC Goa’s cohesive team effort. Operating on the right flank, Noah capitalized on a moment of chaos in the Chennaiyin FC defense, seizing the opportunity to fire the ball into the back of the net and give his side the lead.

Brandon Fernandes doubled FC Goa’s advantage just before halftime with a sensational solo effort. Picking up the ball near the halfway line, Brandon utilized his blistering pace to evade the Chennaiyin FC defenders before unleashing a powerful strike into the top corner of the net.

Chennaiyin FC fought back valiantly, with Lazar Cirkovic reducing the deficit with a close-range finish just before the halftime whistle. However, FC Goa’s resolute defense held firm in the second half, denying Chennaiyin FC any further opportunities to mount a comeback.
