eSwasthya Dham Portal Now Integrated with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission

Dehradun: To enhance healthcare accessibility for pilgrims, the Uttarakhand Government’s Department of Health and Family Welfare has announced the integration of the eSwasthya Dham portal with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). The ABDM, a central sector scheme launched in September 2021, aims to create an integrated digital health infrastructure across India.

The eSwasthya Dham portal, available at eswasthyadham.uk.gov.in, is designed to monitor the health parameters of pilgrims undertaking the Char Dham Yatra, ensuring a smooth and safe journey to the revered sites of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.

One of the key features of the eSwasthya Dham portal is the generation of the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA). Pilgrims can create their ABHA 14-digit number on the portal in just 1-2 minutes, streamlining their access to health services during the Yatra.

Given the surge in the number of pilgrims, the platform prioritizes the health of travelers, particularly senior citizens. The Char Dham shrines are situated at high altitudes, making it crucial to monitor health issues related to such environments, including heart diseases, hypertension, respiratory ailments, and diabetes. The integration of ABHA with ABDM provides a reliable digital identity for devotees, aiding in the digital management of their health records and ensuring swift medical intervention during emergencies.

To date, over 65 crore ABHA numbers have been created. ABHA offers numerous benefits, including secure storage and management of health records and the ability to share these records with doctors anywhere, anytime, with the patient’s consent. Additionally, ABHA facilitates various digital health services, from avoiding long queues at healthcare facilities to scheduling doctor appointments.

Pilgrims can log in to eswasthyadham.uk.gov.in/login to generate their ABHA and access the portal’s benefits, as well as learn more about the Yatra’s guidelines. A helpline number, 104, has also been established to assist pilgrims.
