EPFO Strengthens Workforce with New Recruits During 15th Rozgar Mela

New Delhi: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, proudly participated in the 15th edition of the Rozgar Mela held today across 47 locations nationwide. The event, addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via videoconferencing, marked the distribution of over 51,000 appointment letters to young recruits joining various government departments, including EPFO.

As part of this massive recruitment initiative, EPFO issued appointment letters to 345 Accounts Officers/Enforcement Officers and 631 Social Security Assistants. Welcoming the new recruits, EPFO reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing the delivery of social security services to millions of subscribers across India.

The new entrants will play a crucial role in supporting EPFO’s mission of providing provident fund, pension, and insurance benefits—contributing to the government’s broader vision of building a robust and inclusive economy.

To streamline recruitment and ensure a continuous infusion of talent, EPFO has set up a dedicated Recruitment Vertical at its Head Office and developed a comprehensive recruitment calendar in line with the directions of Union Labour and Employment Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya.

Over the past year, EPFO has recruited 159 Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners, 84 Junior Translation Officers, 28 Stenographers, and 2,674 Social Security Assistants, among others. Further recruitments for APFCs, EO/AO, PAs, and ASOs are currently in progress.

EPFO’s participation in the Rozgar Mela highlights its commitment to transparent, merit-based recruitment practices, leveraging modernization and digitalization to improve efficiency in service delivery.

The newly inducted officers and assistants will also benefit from continuous professional development opportunities, including training through the iGOT Karmayogi platform, equipping them with necessary skills to excel in their roles.

Extending congratulations to all appointees, EPFO emphasized its determination to build a future-ready workforce, further strengthening India’s social security framework and supporting the nation’s journey toward economic empowerment.
