Eminent painter Bansidhar Pratihari conferred with Dharmapada Award

Bhubaneswar: Eminent painter Bansidhar Pratihari has been conferred with the prestigious Dharmapada Award for 2022 on Monday.

During an event organised by the department of Odia Language, Literature & Culture, the 94-year-old artist was felicitated with a citation, a shawl and Rs 5 Lakh for his contribution in the field of visual art.

Eminent sculptor and painter Brajabandhu Mishra, palm leaf artist Laxmidhar Subudhi, Pattachitra painter Bhramarbar Naik, painter Ramesh Behera and stone sculptor Keshab Chandra Maharana were also felicitated on the occasion.
