Eight Dead in Uttarakhand Glacier Collapse

In a tragic incident, eight people died after a glacier collapsed in Niti valley of Chamoli district in Uttarakhand.

An avalanche hit a location about 4 km ahead of Sumna on Sumna- Rimkhim road, where they were engaged in road construction work.

In a rescue operation, the Indian Army recovered the body and also rescued 384 workers from Border Roads Organisation (BRO) camp.
