ECoR Announces Special Trains for Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 Pilgrims

Bhubaneswar: In preparation for the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced the operation of special trains to facilitate the pilgrimage to Prayagraj, the host city of one of the world’s largest religious gatherings. These trains will ensure convenient and direct connectivity for devotees traveling from key cities in the region.

The schedules for the special trains are as follows:

  1. Bhubaneswar – Tundla – Bhubaneswar Special Train
    • Route: Via Kendujhargarh, Bokaro, and Gaya
    • Departure: Wednesdays at 12:30 PM
    • Dates: January 1, 8, 22 and February 5, 19, 26, 2025
    • Notable Stop: Prayagraj Station
  2. Puri – Tundla – Puri Special Train
    • Route: Via Bhubaneswar, Bhadrak, and Gaya
    • Departure: Mondays at 12:30 PM
    • Dates: January 6, 20 and February 17, 2025
    • Notable Stop: Prayagraj Station
  3. Titilagarh – Tundla – Titilagarh Special Train
    • Route: Via Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction (DDU)
    • Departure: Thursdays at 12:30 PM
    • Dates: January 9, 16, 23 and February 6, 20, 27, 2025
    • Notable Stop: Prayagraj Station
  4. Visakhapatnam – Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn (DDU) – Visakhapatnam Special Train
    • Route: Via Rayagada, Titilagarh, Raipur, and Katni
    • Departure: Thursdays at 5:35 PM
    • Dates: January 9, 16, 23 and February 6, 20, 27, 2025
    • Notable Stop: Prayagraj Station
  5. Visakhapatnam – Gorakhpur – Visakhapatnam Special Train
    • Route: Via Bhubaneswar, Angul, Sambalpur City, and Jharsuguda
    • Departure: Sundays at 10:20 PM
    • Dates: January 5, 19 and February 16, 2025
    • Notable Stop: Prayagraj Station
