East Coast Railway Revises Timings of Several Trains from September, October

Bhubaneswar: Passengers travelling on several trains originating from or passing through Odisha will have to take note of revised schedules, as the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced changes in the timings of a number of services to facilitate smoother train operations.

The revised timings will come into effect from the respective dates of journey commencement, with changes covering services connecting Sambalpur, Bhubaneswar, Purunakatak, Boudh, Sonepur and Puri.

The 15028 Gorakhpur–Sambalpur Maurya Express will reach Sambalpur at 2:50 pm instead of 2:40 pm from September 4, 2026. On the same date, the 12893 Bhubaneswar–Purunakatak Intercity Express will arrive at Purunakatak at 5:10 pm instead of 5 pm.

The 18421 Puri–Sonepur Weekly Express will also have a 10-minute change in its arrival schedule. From September 3, it will reach Sonepur at 6 am instead of 5:50 am.

Further changes have been announced for services operating from late October.

From October 28, the 15027 Sambalpur–Gorakhpur Maurya Express will depart Sambalpur at 9:05 am instead of 9:20 am. Its arrival at Rengali has also been revised to 9:28 am instead of 9:39 am, with departure at 9:30 am instead of 9:41 am.

The 12894 Purunakatak–Bhubaneswar Intercity Express will also depart Purunakatak earlier, at 11:15 am instead of 11:25 am, from October 28.

Under the revised schedule, the train will arrive at and depart from Biranarsinghpur at 11:30/11:32 am, Boudh at 11:45/11:50 am, Jharamunda at 12:02/12:04 pm, Puranapani at 12:20/12:22 pm, Sonepur at 12:35/12:40 pm, Narasinghgarh at 12:55/12:57 pm, Jhartarbha at 1:10/1:12 pm and Bichhupali at 1:25/1:27 pm.

The 18314 Bhubaneswar New–Boudh Weekly Express will arrive at Boudh at 10:45 am instead of 10:30 am from September 7.

Meanwhile, the 18422 Sonepur–Puri Weekly Express will depart Sonepur at 6:45 pm instead of 7 pm from October 30. Its revised timings at Narasinghgarh, Jhartarbha and Bichhupali will be 6:55/6:57 pm, 7:06/7:08 pm and 7:20/7:22 pm, respectively.

The East Coast Railway has advised passengers to check the latest train schedules before starting their journey. Updated information is available through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) and official railway enquiry services.
