
Bhubaneswar: The Kalinga Super Cup reached its pinnacle with an electrifying finale, witnessing East Bengal FC emerge victorious with a hard-fought 3-2 win over the host team, Odisha FC. The thrilling encounter went into extra time, keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats at the Kalinga Stadium on Sunday.
Nandha Kumar (51′), Saul Crespo (62′), and Cleiton Silva (110′) etched their names on the scoresheet for the triumphant East Bengal FC. On the other side, Diego Mauricio (39′) and Ahmed Jahouh (97′) demonstrated resilience for Odisha FC in what turned out to be a topsy-turvy battle.
Shri V K Pandian, Hon’ble Chairman, 5T, and Nabin Odisha, a distinguished presence at the event, awarded the trophy and a prize of Rs. 25 lakh to East Bengal FC in recognition of their stellar performance.
