Dual Tragedy: Two Minor Girls Allegedly Raped in Separate Malkangiri Incidents

Malkangiri: A wave of shock and concern has swept through Malkangiri district following reports of two distinct alleged rape incidents involving minor girls. Law enforcement agencies are actively pursuing both cases, with one accused already apprehended.

The first heart-wrenching incident unfolded in the Mudulipada area of Malkangiri. According to detailed accounts, a minor girl from the community was allegedly subjected to rape by a local youth. The alleged assault resulted in her pregnancy, tragically culminating in the delivery of a stillborn boy. The victim’s distraught family wasted no time in reporting the heinous crime to the Mudulipada police station. Swift action by the police led to the arrest of the accused youth, who is now in custody as the investigation continues.

The second alleged crime occurred within the jurisdiction of the Orkel police station. In this disturbing case, a minor girl was reportedly raped by a youth who had offered her a lift. The victim’s uncle promptly lodged a formal written complaint with the Orkel police station, prompting immediate action from the authorities. A comprehensive investigation has been initiated, and police are diligently working to uncover the full details of the incident and ensure justice is served.
