
Bhubaneswar: Former India Hockey captain and Olympian Dilip Tirkey have been elected President of Hockey India. Tirkey was elected unopposed after two other contenders Rakesh Katyal and Bhola Nath Singh withdrew their nominations.
The player turned politician and administrator, the 44 year old Dilip Tirkey is India’s most capped player with 412 international caps over a 15-year-long international career.
