Dharmendra Pradhan Launches ‘Sapno Ki Udaan’ E-Magazine

New Delhi: In a notable celebration of India’s achievements in space exploration, the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, in collaboration with NCERT, has released a new e-magazine titled ‘Sapno Ki Udaan’. The launch commemorates the first anniversary of Chandrayaan-3’s historic landing on the lunar South Pole.

The inaugural edition of the e-magazine was released virtually by Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan. The event was attended by Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State for Education, also participating via virtual platform.

In his message during the launch, Minister Pradhan emphasized the magazine’s role in fulfilling the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. He highlighted that ‘Sapno Ki Udaan’ aligns with the policy’s focus on making education more accessible and equitable, preparing students for global challenges. He praised the magazine’s space-themed content as a reflection of the expansive imagination of Indian youth.

Jayant Chaudhary echoed these sentiments, noting that National Space Day provides an ideal context for celebrating India’s scientific accomplishments. He expressed hope that the e-magazine would foster a scientific mindset among students.

Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy, Sanjay Kumar, described the e-magazine as a vibrant collection of poetry, essays, stories, and riddles contributed by students, teachers, and parents from across the nation. Initially planned as a quarterly publication, it is anticipated to transition to a monthly format in the future.

The virtual launch was attended by key figures including Vipin Kumar, Additional Secretary; Prof. D.P. Saklani, Director of NCERT;Rahul Singh, Chairperson of CBSE; Ms. Prachi Pandey, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education; Prof. Saroj Sharma, Chairperson of NIOS; and Prof. Jyotsana Tiwari of NCERT, among other senior officials.
