Dharmendra Pradhan Inaugurates Sambalpuri Book Fair

Sambalpur: The eagerly awaited Sambalpur Book Fair is set to kick off on the 21st at Birsa Munda Maidan (PHD Field) in Ainthapali, Sambalpur. Organized in collaboration with the National Book Trust India under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the week-long book fair will run until the 29th. Union Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate the event, themed ‘Books for All,’ making it the focal point of this literary celebration.

With over 100 prominent publishers and booksellers participating, including NBT Engineering, Sahitya Akademi, Publishing Division, Kemmy Books, Gita Publishers, and Bookmate Publishing, the fair promises a diverse range of literary offerings from within the state and beyond. Entry to the book fair is free, ensuring accessibility for all literature enthusiasts.

The People’s Relations Department of the National Book Trust India has disclosed that the fair will not only be a hub for book lovers but will also feature various cultural programs every evening. Attendees can participate in engaging activities such as portrait drawing sessions, creative art workshops, and more.

The Sambalpuri Book Fair is not just a congregation of books but a celebration of literature, fostering a vibrant literary environment for the community. Visitors can expect a rich tapestry of literary experiences, making it a must-visit event for those with a passion for books and cultural enrichment.
