DEPWD and NHRDN Join Forces to Boost Employment Opportunities for Divyangjans

Goa: The concluding day of the International Purple Fest witnessed a historic moment as the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPWD) and the National Human Resources Development Network (NHRDN) formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This strategic alliance sets the stage for a collaborative effort to aggregate employment opportunities for Divyangjans through the innovative PM-DAKSH-DEPWD digital portal.

The MoU reflects a transformative initiative aimed at broadening the Department’s reach and establishing robust connections with human resources (HR) professionals across the nation. The primary goal is to intensify endeavors in creating meaningful employment avenues for Divyangjans, fostering a workplace environment that champions inclusivity and diversity.

The PM-DAKSH-DEPWD digital portal serves as a pioneering platform designed to streamline and enhance the process of connecting job seekers with disabilities to suitable employment opportunities. This digital initiative aligns with the broader vision of creating an empowered and diverse workforce that embraces individuals of all abilities.

As part of this strategic collaboration, the DEPWD and NHRDN intend to leverage their respective strengths and networks to maximize the impact of this initiative. By bringing together the expertise of the DEPWD in empowering persons with disabilities and the extensive reach of NHRDN in the HR domain, the partnership aims to drive significant progress in the realm of inclusive employment.

The signing of this MoU signifies a significant milestone in the collective efforts to bridge the employment gap and create a more equitable society. Both organizations are committed to working collaboratively to ensure that Divyangjans have increased access to opportunities, contributing to a more inclusive and empowered future.
