
Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister Parvati Parida today announced that the Subhadra Yojana would be further enriched with skill training initiatives to empower women beneficiaries across Odisha. Speaking at a high-profile media interaction in Bhubaneswar, she acknowledged the pivotal role played by journalists in disseminating accurate information and creating widespread awareness about the scheme.
Addressing over 200 media professionals, including senior editors and reporters, Parida noted that the reach and impact of the Subhadra Yojana were significantly amplified by the media’s consistent and constructive engagement. She highlighted that more than one crore women have already been linked to the scheme, thanks in part to the extensive coverage of its Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines.
Parida also emphasized the government’s openness to feedback, assuring that suggestions received from various quarters would be thoughtfully considered to enhance the scheme’s delivery. She extended her gratitude to officials from the Women and Child Development Department, Anganwadi workers, and staff at Mo Seva Kendras and Jan Seva Kendras, whose coordinated efforts helped streamline the rollout.
Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management Suresh Pujari, who was present at the event, interacted with media personnel and discussed a range of related policy matters. His engagement reflected the government’s commitment to transparent governance and active collaboration with the press.
Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg responded to detailed queries from journalists, underlining the importance of continuous communication and public trust in large-scale welfare initiatives. Director of the Women and Child Development Department, Monisha Banerjee, along with other senior officers, also shared updates on the progress of the scheme.
